Big Bro BodyGuard, would drag me (Van) out by my ear during skate functions to take snap-shots of skaters. Being the comedian that he is, we always had good results because he had folks laughing then, and he still has them laughing now. I don't think that there was ever a time that we went to an event, and didn't have someone smile at his antics. Sister Trish, was and still is the level headed organizer of the crew. Trish knows everybody, and remembers everything. Nothing would get done pertaining to JiveBiscuit if Trish didn't do what she does. Sister is true to the cause, and always takes charge. She is a very positive person, very sensible, and a true friend.
We decided to take a different approach utilizing a database driven website, and came up with a CMS (Content Management System) called 'PHPNuke'. Very easy to manipulate, and easy to backup and reproduce. |
JiveBiscuit was originally put together to test the 'Linux' operating system, and to post pictures of friends at the rink. At the time, Windows operating system was very 'Hacker Friendly' oh, my god, it still is!!! We started with 'Red Hat' version of the Linux Operating System. The original website was also run on 'dial-up', so the site wasn't the fastest. The old website didn't have all the functionality that the newest version utilizes. Just as today, the website was put together for skaters and by skaters. The website was actually started on Nov 16, 2002, or at least thats when the original logo was created. 
We decided; after folks ragged us about the bright yellow color, to go with a 'Dark' theme. We're all grown, so we figured that we'd go with a more adult theme, that would hopefully be more easy on the eyes (We are still open to suggestion, please click on the 'Contact Us' link and send us your suggestions). | < Prev |
